主要探讨了当前在外语词汇的教学中存在的问题及其产生原因和解决策略。问题主要为 :重形轻音、词义以偏代全、孤立词与词间的关系、词汇输入方式单一和忽视词汇输出。这几个问题均系违背学习中的认知规律和破坏语言体系的完整性所致。

This paper explores what causes the failures in present vocabulary teaching and learning and how they are caused.It also puts forward some strategies and techniques useful in avoiding such failures.The root of the failures is that inadequate attention has been paid to the pronunciation of words,to the relations among words as well as to the multiple input and output channels of words.Such a practice violates cognitive laws and is against the language systems.So any strategy or technique of vocabulary teaching or learning is supposed to comply with and restore the integrated language system based on cognitive laws.
