Proliferation of Weapons of Mass Destruction and Maintenance of International Peace and Security

随着世界热点地区矛盾的激化和国际恐怖主义的滋长,大规模杀伤性武器的扩散呈现严峻之势,严重威胁着国际社会的和平与安全。为了维护国际和平与安全,国际社会必须加强合作,在不断完善反扩散机制的同时,还要化解地区性国家间和种族间的冲突,建立国际政治经济新秩序,彻底铲除大规模杀伤性武器扩散的动因。

With the intensification of regional conflicts and the development of international terrorism, proliferation of weapons of mass destruction (WMD) has become a serious problem with a great impact on international peace and security. To deal with this situation, international community should strengthen cooperation, improve the mechanism of nonproliferation of WMD, establish a new international political and economic order, defuse regional conflicts and eradicate the roots of proliferation of WMD.
