Effect of pH Value on Wheat Seed Germination and Seedlings Growth and Metabolism

研究了pH值对小麦种子萌发和幼苗生长代谢的影响 ,结果表明 :pH值 6.5是小麦种子萌发和幼苗生长的最适值。pH值大于 7或小于 6,小麦种子萌发的淀粉酶、蛋白酶和脂肪酶活力降低 ;呼吸速率 ,胚乳分解速度减慢 ;种子发芽速度减慢 ;苗期根系活力、硝酸还原酶活力、叶绿素含量、光合速率、蒸腾强度降低 ,幼苗生长速度减慢。

In this paper, the effect of pH value on seed germinat ion and seedlings grow th and metabolism of wheat was studied. The results showed that pH value of 6.5 was optimum for wheat seed germination and seedling growth. If higher than pH=7 or l ower than pH=6, the activities of diastase, protease and lipase, respiration ra t e, endosperm decomposition rate during wheat seed germination were cut down and germination rate was slowed down. Roots activities and nitrate reductase activit y of roots, chlorophyll content, photosynthetic rate, transpiration rate of leaf during seedlings growth and growth rate were brought down.
