On the Moving of Wei Capital from Anyi to Liang in the Zhanguo Period

在接近公元前4世纪中期时,梁已纳入魏国版图。在梁未成为魏国都城前,它已是魏国镇守东部地区的重要都会,发挥着军事、外交等方面事务的功能。由于西邻秦国的改革和发展,国力迅速增强,迫使魏惠王于三十一年(公元前340年)退出了河西之地,将都城由西部的安邑迁到东部的大梁,以全力经营东方,因而步入了魏国的衰落阶段。

Near the former middle of the 4th century B.C.,Liang already got into a part of Wei Country.Before Liang became the capital of Wei,it had been actually the important city of guarding the east area of Wei and playing the role of military and diplomatic affairs.The getting stronger of west neighbor Qin Country due to politcal transform and economic develop,had compelled Wei to exit out of the west part of the Yellow River and move the capital from Anyi to Liang in order to fare in the east in the 31st year of King Weihui reign (340 B.C.),as a result of this,Wei went into the decline phase.
