This paper describes a two-needle method for measuring middle diameter of metric trapezoidal screw threads. Compared with the conventional three-needle method, this method has some advantages such as being able to measure large diameter threads and its adaptability to operational space. This method is also suitable for measuring general purpose screw threads.
