解决网络发展与资源共享的矛盾有赖于提高系统和数据的可互操作性。Z39.50协议是一个基于客户机/服务器的信息检索标准,它规定了一些过程和格式,支持计算机使用一种标准的、相互可理解的方式进行通讯,并支持不同数据结构、内容、格式的系统之间的数据传输,实现跨平台异构系统之间的互联与数据库查询。简要回顾了Z39.50协议的发展历史,重点介绍了协议的内容组成,并对实现和应用中的问题进行了分析。
It depends on the interoperability of systems and da ta to solve the co nflict between the development of network and the resource sharing. Z39.50 proto col is a standard on information retrieval based on client/server model. For the purpose of interconnection between systems across platforms and database search ing, it defines some procedures and formats which support computer comm unication in standard and mutually understandable terms, and also support data t ransmission between systems with various data structures,contents and formats. Briefly overviews the development and emphasizes on the contents,imp lementing and its applications.
