Try to Improve the Students' Lexical Applicable Competence

学生词汇运用能力的欠缺是英语教学面临的一个亟待解决的问题。通过对这一问题的分析,提出对英语词汇教学应该有新的认识,并结合教学实际探讨词汇教学改革的新路子,以提高学生的词汇运用能力。

Students' deficiency in lexical competence is drawing the attention of an increasing number of foreign language teachers and researchers. After a brief analysis of this problem, this paper argues that a full understanding of lexical knowledge contributes to its solution. Further, the author tries to probe into some new ideas of vocabulary teaching and puts forward several possible teaching methods for improving the students' lexical competence.
