The wide application of computer technology in city planning has greatly advanced the theory and practice of city planning. The computer-aided city planning and its information management system are studied, and the purpose and significance of system development, the frame work of the whole system and functions of the sub-systems are analyzed. The application of the whole system is illustrated in the city planning for An-Da in Heilongjiang province as an example.
