企业的组织结构是价值链管理的基础和支持系统 ,类似于人体的骨骼和神经反应系统 ,因此组织结构的优化设计在企业管理中占据着重要的基础性地位。熵是组织系统紊乱程度的度量 ,把熵理论的时效熵和质量熵概念应用于组织结构的优化设计 ,从量化的角度 ,以通用电气集团公司 (GE)和国际商用机器公司 (IBM)的组织结构为例 ,比较两公司组织结构的时效熵和质量熵 ,得出结论 :通用电气集团公司 (GE)的组织结构有序度优于国际商用机器公司 (IBM)

As the basis and support system of Value Chain Management (VCM), Enterprise Organizational Structure (EOS) seems like the skeletons and nerve reaction systems of a human. So it is fundamental action for enterprise management to the organizational structure design. Entropy is applied in measuring the disorderly degree of organization. Effective entropy and quality entropy are applied in analyzing orderly degree of EOS. From the angle of the quantitative analysis, by the example of the EOS of General Electric (GE) and International Business Machine (IBM), we compared their effective entropy and quality entropy and drew a conclusion: GE' orderly degree of EOS is more preferable than IBM's.
