摘要
信息与知识的概念不清导致了工作实践中的许多问题 :以信息传递功能取代社会教育功能 ,以信息处理取代知识管理。文章对信息和知识的概念作了简要辨析 ,并分析了文献价值内涵、读者阅读需求和图书馆社会功能的多样性 ;指出图书馆教育功能无可替代 。
The confusion of the concepts'information'and 'knowledge'gives rise to many problems in our practical work-to substitute the convey of information for the social education,or to replace knowledge administration with information processing.This article discusses briefly about the definition of informaiton and knowledge,and analyzes the true value of the documents,the readers' demand and the diversity of the library's functions.In conclusion, the educaiotn function of the library is irreplaceable,and should not be ignored.
