The authors put for ward a single-chip microcomputer-operated tachometer designed by the method of measuring the cycles. The tachometer so designed and developed excels in its simple hardware circuit, wide range tachometric survey, high rate accuracy,and high resolution power as compared with conventional tachometers. It is indicated by test operation of the prototype that this tachometer has come up to be put into service and is worthy of dissemination.
