摘要
作者以嗜麦芽假单胞菌(简称细菌)hCG结合蛋白抗体为探针,对比研究细菌hCG结合蛋白和大鼠睾丸细胞膜LH/CG受体的免疫特性。结果前者特异沉淀[^(125)I]hCG与hCG结合蛋白结合复合物;后者亦获得相同的结果。以上结果表明,细菌hCG结合蛋白与大鼠睾丸LH/CG受体蛋白有相同抗原决定簇,抗体识别该受体hCG结合位点以外的抗原决定簇。
An indirect immunoprecipita-tion experiment was developed to charac-terize the antigenic determinants of thehCG-binding protein and the rat testicu-lar LH/CG receptor. The hCG--binding pro-tein preincubated with ^(125)l iodo hCG wasimmunologically precipitated by the anti-bodies against the hCG--binding proteinin the presence of goat anti--rabbit IgG.Similarly. the LH/CG receptor solubilizedwith 1% triton X-100 from the rat testeswas also immunoprecipitated by the anti-bodies. Furthermore, the antibodies didnot inhibit the binding of ^(125)I iodo hCG tothe hCG-binding protein or to the solubi-lized rat testicular LH/CG receptor. Fromthese results it can be concluded that thereexists the sharing of antigenic deter-minants between the hCG-binding proteinfrom Pseudomonas maltophilia and the LH/CG receptor from the rat testes and thatthe antibodeies specifically recognize theantigenic determinants outside the hCG-binding sites on the rat testicular LH/CGreceptor. Therefore, the antibodiesagainst the hCG--binding protein are ofpotential applications to studies on struc-ture and function of the mammalian LH/CGreceptors.
