From Wang Gen to Li Zhi

王艮作为泰州学派的始祖,强调的是个性自在。李贽在强调个体价值的同时,却又走向了极端自私自利,进而导致个体和群体之间另一形式的紧张与对立。

As the earliest ancestor of Taizhou School of Thought, Wang Gen, on one hand, put emphasis on the value of individual; on the other hand, turned into extremely self-centered, which has brought another form of nervousness and antagonism between individual and group.
