THE PHILOSOPHICAL THINKING OF CHEN QUE

陈确是明末思想家刘宗周的学生,他的人性论的'继善成性'的'性全'说,认识论的'正心'与'务实'相统一说,发展了其师的思想,是清初浙东学术中一位颇具特色的人物。

Chen Que(陈确) was a disciple of the late Ming thinker Liu ZOng-zhou(刘宗周). He developed his teacher's thought by his ideas of xing quan(性全),derived from ji shan cheng xing(继善成性), in theory of human nature an unity of zheng xin(正心) and wu shi(务实) in epistemology. That made him quite remarkable among the scholars of Eastern Zhejiang in the early period of the Qing dynasty.
