CHARACTERISTICS OF NINGBO’S REVOLUTIONARY CULTURE IN THE PERIOD OF DEMOCARATIC REVOLUTION

民主革命时期宁波的革命文化是在党的领导和影响下,在同反动势力和反动文化的斗争中产生发展的。它曾在爱国统一战线的旗帜下团结了一大批进步的文化人士,它曾得到本地和外地的中国文化界名人的推波助澜;它和教育有着血肉联系,影响和推动进步知识分子和青年学生走上革命道路。它的发展历程再次表明:为一定时期的革命任务服务是中国新民主主义文化的光荣传统。

Ningbo's revolutionary culture in the period of Democratic Revolution had emerged and evolved under the leadership and influence of the CPC, as it struggled against the reactionary force and culture. Under the banner of patriotism and the United Front, it summoned a great number of progressive intellectuals both in and outside Ningbo, who helped this movement forward. This revolutionary culture had close links with education, thus inspiring the progressive intellectuals and young students to join the revolution. The entire process of its development once more shows that it has been an honourable tradition for the New Democrtic culture of China to serve the revolution of the age.
