Irony in Pride and Prejudice is mainly embodied in Austen's dramatic treatment of the plot as well as her command of descriptive and commentary language, which lends it the peculiar characteristics as a light comedy, thus making it not only stand out from all the other Austen novels, but also appear singular among the other British masterpieces of satire.
