Paeonia suffruticosa Andr. has cultivation history over 1 500 years. The root-bark of P. suffruticosa was traditional Chinese medicine. In recent years, more attention was paid to the health value of P. suffruticosa. For study the active compounds from P. suffruticosa and the development of it’s industry,the paper reviewed their research progress of active compounds from P.suffruticosa Andr.
