重庆忠县崖脚遗址试掘报告

Report on Test Excavations at Yajiao Site, Zhongxian, Chongqing

崖脚遗址位于忠县老县城东北3千米的忠州镇郑公村。遗址坐落在井溪入长江河口东北岸的沿江台地上,面积约32 000平方米,海拔135—170米。崖脚遗址初发现于20世纪50年代末至20世纪60年代初。1994年2月,为配合三峡水库淹没区地下文物的保护,北京大学三峡考古队在该址进行发掘。发掘面积109平方米。遗址从上到下的文化堆积依次为唐宋、西汉、战国和商周时期。此次发掘共发现战国时期墓葬2座、西汉时期墓葬1座、灰坑1个、唐宋时期灰沟1条。

The site of Yajiao is located 3 km northeast from the old county capital of Zhongxian at Zhenggong Village in Zhongzhou Township.The site is located on a plateau on the northeastern river bank where the Hejing Creek flows into the Yangzi at an elevation of 135-170 m;the site measures 32,000 m2 in surface area.Yanjiu Site was discovered in the late 1950s or 1960s.In February 1994,in connection with the rescue measures connected with the construction of the Three-Gorges Dam,the Three-gorges Excavation Team of Peking University conducted excavations at the site.The excavation uncovered an area of 109 m2.The cultural layers at the site from top to bottom comprise material dating to the Tang and Song,Western Han,Warring States,and Shang-Zhou Periods.During this excavation campaign,two Warring States graves have been excavated as well as one Western Han grave,one refuse pit,and one trench dating to the Tang-Song Period.
