Building a Well-off Society in an All-Round Way and the Work of Chinese Communist Youth League in the New Century

社会发展的每一个新阶段 ,都对青年提出新的更高的要求 ,也为青年的成长成才带来了机遇和挑战。党的十六大确定的全面建设小康社会的目标 ,要求各级共青团组织紧紧围绕这一奋斗目标 ,动员和组织广大团员青年在完善社会主义市场经济体制、实施科教兴国和可持续发展战略、推动经济结构战略性调整中建功立业 ,引导广大团员青年做建设小康社会的生力军和主力军。

Young people face higher requirements as well as opportunities and challenges in every new stage of social development. The 16th Conference of Chinese Communist Party, attended by representatives from all parts of the country , has set the goal of building a well-off society in an all-round way. Chinese Communist Youth League organizations of all levels are required to call on league members and young people, centering on the goal, to make contribution in the course of perfecting socialist market economy system, carring out the strategy of rejuvenating the country through science and education and continuing developmant strategy, and promoting the strategic adjustment of our economic structure so as to build a well-off society in an all-round way.
