颓废:维新先驱王韬的另一面

Decadency: The Other Side of the Reform Pioneer Wang Tao

作为维新先驱、学者、文人的王韬,具有颓废的另一面。其颓废与家族的衰败、仕途的失意、隐遁意识、寻香访艳、品香谈艳五个方面密切相关,其中不乏负面价值,但更多的不局限于负面。通过对王韬颓废的这五个方面的系统考察,我们试图在"理解之同情"的基础上,发掘其历史意义。

Wang Tao,a pioneer of reform,scholar and literati,had another side of decadence.His decadence is closely related to five factors: the decline of his family,the loss of official career,the reclusive consciousness,the pursuit of female beauty,and the erotic discussion. Through a systematic study of these five aspects of Wang Tao’s decadence,we try to explore the historical significance on the basis of 'understanding and sympathy'.
