释“床”说“榻”——中国古家具床、榻之辩

Interpretation of "Bed" and "Couch" —The Debate Between Bed and Couch in Ancient China

床、榻类家具是中国古代家具种类中应用最为广泛,是最为实用。但人们关于床和榻的区别与联系却了解甚少,甚至普遍认为,床和榻是一回事。然而,床与榻在发展历程、形制与装饰特点、功能与陈设特色以及隐藏在床榻之后的文化内涵上均有很大的区别。本文试从上述方面进行阐述,可以明确床和榻的概念;另一方面,进行床榻之辩还对继承和发扬我国古家具文化有着重要的意义。

The furniture of bed and couch had been used most widely and practical in ancient Chinese furniture category.However the people have little understanding on the bed and couch of their differences and relations,even general believed that the bed and couch is one thing.Nevertheless the bed and couch have many differences in development course,shape and decorative features,function and display characteristics or their culture.Therefore,this article tries to elaborate through the way as aforesaid.On the one hand,can be a clear definition of the concept of the bed and couch.On the other hand,to debate between bed and couch has important implications for inheriting and carrying forward our country ancient furniture culture.
