摘要
文章提出了如何用一种根据动物大脑视觉皮层同步脉冲发放现象提出的人工神经网络---脉冲耦合神经网络(PCNN—PulseCoupledNeuralNetwork)进行二值图像边缘检测的新方法。计算机仿真结果表明,使用PCNN可有效地提取被噪声污染的二值图像的边缘。对于256级的灰度图像,可先用PCNN将原始的256级灰度图像分割为二值图像,接着再用该算法进行边缘检测。
This paper brings forward a new approach for binary image edge detection by using PCNN-pulse coupled neural network,a new neural network based on the phenomena of synchronous pulse bursts in the animal visual cortex.The results of computer simulations show that by using PCNN,the edges of noisy binary image can be detected effi-ciently.For256-level image,first use PCNN to segment the original image into the binary image,and then use this ap-proach to detect the edges.
