There are many modes for building production line, this paper discusses the design of the agile flexible automatic production line for cylinder head which is mainly composed of machining centers. The following are mentioned: the basic layout design principle of the agile flexible automatic production line, design methods of technological process and its optimization,technical parameter of CNC high speed machining center, the machines of production line layout design. Finally, the characteristics of the agile flexible automatic production line such as high flexibility,high availability,the most modern machining technology,economy and so on are introduced.
