内河漕运与内河航运在功能上相似,在发展过程上有许多共同之处;研究内河漕运的兴废史,对振兴我国内河航运事业有重要参考价值。目前,中国内河航运事业的发展,迫切需要国家重视:加大资金投入;协调五种运输形式;节省和保护土地;水资源综合开发;改善生态环境;建立全国性的领导机构,管理和规划内河航运事宜;以达到内河航运可持续性发展的目的。

There are many similarities between the inland river transport and the ancient water transport with regard to their functions and development.The study of the history of the ancient inland water transport is of importance for the development of the national inland transport.Presently,the development of the inland transport of China cries for national attention:to strengthen investment;to harmonize five kinds of transportation;to save and protect the soil;to synthesize the exploitation of water resources;to better ecological environment;to set up a national administrative organization to manage and plan the matters of the inland river transport;and to achieve the goal of sustainable development of the inland river transport.
