先不要听卡莉怎么说,看看她这一年做得怎么样吧。
Since the announcement of the merger between HP and Compaq on May 8,2002, the company with a lot of legends in the past 63 years began the most venturous action in its history, and the action began with an ultra-difficult integration.
When a firm with more than 80,000 employees began to merge with another one with 60,000 people and in the same area. channels, product-lines and financial data would have to be integrated. Moreover, 15,000 employees should be laid off. That sounds an impossible mission. Over past year, however, there are signals that the results are encouraging, and some progresses new HP has made are even over-expected. The printer business has kept on growing, the status of new HP in markets remained unchanged, and a new marketing strategy has been adopted in such enterprise-level systems as server to bring its potential into play. Furthermore, new HP has won nearly 200 outsourcing contracts, which had been dominated by IBM and EDS before.
New HP is changing. That is only a beginning.
