Analysis of the Female Images in White-Deer Plain

《白鹿原》中传统的女性,如白嘉轩的母亲、妻子、姐姐,所谓不守妇道的女性,如田小娥、小翠,以及女性革命者白灵等形象,她们身上包蕴女性不幸的根源,承受着优秀与腐朽、新与旧的交替碰撞,这一系列女性的命运,彰显了封建宗法社会窒息人性的残酷面,唤起人们对女性生存的关注。

Different female images have been vividly depicted in the famous novel WhiteDeer Plain, such as the women of the traditional type: Bai Jiaxuan's mother, wife and elder sister; and the women who were viewed as being against the women virtures: Xiao'e, Xiaocui and the revolutionary Bai Ling. All the women characters imply the illfated roots of the women, display the alternate collisions of the excellence and degeneration, of the new and old. The women's fate in the novel reveals the cruelty of the inhuman feudal patriarchal clan system and arouses people's attention on the women beings.
