摘要
本文采用长时段计量史学的理论和方法 ,统计了 1 90 0年以前中国和西方国家教育名人数 ,绘制出中西教育周期的曲线图。统计现象显示 :断裂与绵延是西方与中国教育发展势态的重大差异 ;中西教育分别于 1 9世纪初和 1 8世纪初出现陡坡 ,标志着中西教育开始全面进入近代化阶段。
According to the theory and approach of long-period historiometrics, the paper makes statistics of the famous educators in China and in the West before 1900, and draws a diagram of their educational cycles. Statistic data show that the striking difference in their developing trends is the fracture in the west and the continuity in China. There appeared some slopes of their educational developments in the early 18th and 19th century respectively, which marked their all-round entrances to the periods of modernization. Furthermore, the paper makes a precise analysis of the reasons for such phenomena mentioned above.
