The article points out that the refiningchemical integration advantages should be exploited to the full via recovering the ethylene and light olefins in the refinery FCC and coking dry gas to increase ethylene output and reduce ethylene cost. It describes the three demethanizing processes of medium pressure absorption, low pressure cryogenic absorption and PSA, the dry gas treating process, and their technological emphasis.
