The paper gives a solution of rout location when the deflection point can't be set out in city layout area. Base on the method of indirect rout location, this method use analysis to work out the factor of staking out center peg or deflection peg and stake out it. The method not only increases the precision of profile and cross-section profile survey but also gets more benefit and meets the requirement of layout department, it can greatly increase the speed of route survey for power transmission. In addition, the paper introduces a program on EL-5120 calculator that is for working out factor of staking out center peg or deflection peg.
