摘要 传统的 TCP/ IP协议严重影响并行系统的通信性能 ,用户层通信技术是解决不必要的数据拷贝和运行空间切换的有效途径。虚拟接口结构 (virtual interface architecture,VIA)是一种先进的用户层通信技术 ,它能够为机群系统提供高效可靠的通信性能。该文针对这种工业标准的通信模式进行了深入的分析 ,阐述了 VIA的结构特征 ,并通过一个典型的求 π例程来说明它的基本编程模型。为了提高系统的鲁棒性 ,在此基础上加入自适应环节 ,使得系统能够自动判别可用节点以进行通信。 Traditional TCP/IP has greatly restricted communication performance of parallel systems. However, user level communication can resolve such problems as unnecessary data copying and work space switching. Virtual interface architecture (VIA) is an outstanding user level communication technology which provides the cluster system with efficient and secure communication ability. This article analyzes the VIA industry specifications, demonstrates its structures and features, and explains its basic programming model through a typical example. The system performance was improved through a self adjusting factor which enables the system to recognize available nodes. The greatly improved VIA communication system performance is then illustrated by testing the transfer of a large block of data.
