SVD Method for Selecting Tangent Vector in Tangent Distance

摘要 提出了一种使用SVD自动选取切线向量的系统方法,并指出在多类问题中存在一个最优的切线向量数使得误差最小。该方法不但通用性和重复性好,而且识别精度高。手写数字识别的实验证明了该方法观点的有效和正确性。 In traditional tangent distance classification method,the seletion of tangent vectors depends on peoples participation. This paper presents a SVD method to select the tangent vectors automatically and points out that there exists a optimal number of tangent vectors. Experiment result shows that this method can achieve good performance.
