因为安全的问题,防火墙阻塞了除HTTP协议以外的所有协议。设计XLM-CORBA框架可克服Internet和ORB对象通讯的困难。它利用XML来通讯,XML是以文本为基础的,可以被HTTP所传输,可以穿越防火墙。提出了框架设计的思想,并阐述了设计的具体步骤和它的实现。

Because of security issues, firewalls block all protocols except for HTTP. The XML-CORBA framework has been designed to overcome the difficulties in communicating with an ORB object via Internet. The framework uses XML for communication, which is textbased and not blocked by firewalls hence can be transferred over HTTP. This paper brings forward the idea of the the framework, and presents the details of its design and realization.
