This paper covers the production,distribution,import and export of Chinas dyestuffs and pigments in 2002 The output of dyes and pigments was 421.3 thousand tons and 95.7 thousand tons,compared with previous year,it Increased 31.11 percent and 11.35 percent respectively.Import and export of dyes and pigments totaled 263.1 thousand tons by 15.39 percent increase and 112.4 thousand tons by 12.58 percent increase compared of 2001.Therefore,suggestion was put forward for future development of the industry.
