霍山、霍云身世蠡测

Speculating on Identities of HUO Shan and HUO Yun

霍山、霍云是西汉宣帝时期霍氏家族中不可忽略的重要人物。有迹象表明 ,他们很可能是霍光的一对“孪生子”。霍山为兄 ,霍云为弟。元封元年 (公元前 1 1 0年 ) ,由于霍去病的独生子霍嬗无子而亡 ,为了不使霍去病一宗香火断绝、为了给自己博取“孝悌”美名 ,同时也是为给两子谋取更好的政治前景 ,霍光不顾“辈分”不符的束缚 ,将霍山与霍云“过继”给霍去病为孙。霍山为乐平侯 ,食邑 30 0 0户 ,霍云为冠阳侯 ,食邑 1 80 0户 ,二人皆以大将军霍光功封侯。

In my opinion, HUO Shan and HUO Yun are probably HUO Guang's sons. They are twins. HUO Shan is elder than HUN Yun. After the son of Huo Qu-bing dead, in order to keeping endless stream of pilgrims of HUO Qu-bing and obtaining high reputation, HUO Guang has his children adopted by HUO Qu-bing,s family. HUO Shan is Le-ping marquis and his fief is 3000 families. HUO Yun is Guanyang marquis and his fief is 1800 families.
