Reading American and British Press is one of the effective ways of improving reading skills and knowing about the American and British society.But the special characteristics in style put some English majors in trouble and affect their better understanding and appreciation of the press.By analyzing the characteristics of the words and sentence structures from two major aspects,the author sums up some useful rules,which will guide the readers to the effective reading of the English press.
