“一国两制”理论的提出和实施是中国社会发展的和谐选择。它把历史和现实、多数人的利益和少数人的利益、单一制的国家结构和复合制的国家结构、社会主义制度和资本主义制度和谐地统一在一起 ,实现了地方高度自治下的祖国完全统一。双方取长补短 ,相互借鉴 ,有利于中国政治、经济、文化的发展。

The proposal and practice of 'One State, Two Systems' theory is a harmonious choice of Chinese social development. It unites harmoniously history with reality, the interest of the majority with that of the minority of people, single state structure with compound state structure, socialist system with capitalist system, and it realizes total reunification of the motherland by giving high self-government to the special administrative zones. It benefits the development of China's politics, economy and culture in that both sides could learn from each other and overcome their own shortcomings.
