摘要
本文阐述了如何在大学英语写作教学过程中运用篇章语言学的相关知识辅助学生提高英语写作水平。文章首先讨论了三种基本的篇章构建方法 :顺序结构、层次结构和平衡结构 ,接着讨论了四种主题句的扩充方式 :派生式、平行式、集中式和并列式 ,最后讨论了如何利用语法、词汇和逻辑手段使篇章中的各句相互衔接。通过教学效果对比分析 ,有效地证明了篇章语言学对大学英语写作的教与学的辅助作用。
This paper focuses on the discussion of the importance of textual linguistics in the teaching of English writing for EST students It first illustrates three basic textual structures for students to follow : sequential structure , hierarchical structure and balanced structure . Then it lists four approaches on how to extend topic sentences : derivation , parallel , concentration and coordination . To make the sentences in a passage both cohesive and coherent , three basic devices are introduced : syntactic variation , lexical selection , and logical connection . Through the comparison between student's original writing and the revised one , a conclusion can be drawn out:textual linguistics plays a very important role in the teaching of English writing .
