IPv6方兴未艾

IPv4捉襟见肘IPv6方兴未艾 任何一个网络都需要一个有效的编号或编址制度支撑其正常工作.如同公共电话网需要依赖着它的编号制度一样,互联网也依赖着它的编址制度进行运作.不过需要说明的是,这两个制度之间有很多不同之处.从专家角度看,互联网地址的作用类似于公共电话网的信令接续点号码,而电话号码则类似于互联网用户的域名.

Moulin Zhao, the director of Telecommunication Standardization Bureau ;TSB) in ITU, expresses his opinions about IPv6 in the following article. In view of IPv6's advantage in IP address space, a huge network can be built on the basis of IPv6 technology, with all the services and functions of now-existing networks different in scale and performance included. Therefore, the problems existing in technology and operation because of interconnection will be solved, and the quality of security and transmission will become better. The features of IPv6 also fit the needs of new services and next generation network's development. ITU, as an influential international organization, will pay a good deal of attention to the application and development of IPv6 in China, Japan, Korea and other countries in Asia and Pacific areas especially. Also ITU hopes that it will enjoy wider and wider support from China and all those countries. The effective cooperation which all countries and the international organization are in for will benefit all parts related, which will enable IPv6 a bright future.
