英汉反语现象普遍存在 ,反映了人们的期望与现实间的对比。然而 ,无论英语反语还是汉语反语都是对语义和语用合作原则的一种偏离。通过范例将汉英反语进行了对比分析 ,以探求他们在语用方面的异同 ,了解使用规律 。
Irony is a common phenomenon in daily life and reveals an incongruity between reality and expectation. Irony in both languages is a case of deviation from normal semantic phenomena and cooperative principle. By observing many examples, we can draw some similarities and differences between the pragmatic uses of irony in English and Chinese, which will be conducive to effective communication.
