ISO/OSI会话层协议是开放系统互连七层模式中的重要组成部分.本文在中型计算机IBM 4341上,用PASCAL语言,在VM/CMS操作系统下实现了这一功能. 作者描述了对协议标准的理解及软件的实现,尤其突出了会话协议中的难点:会话协议机、服务访问点及多个连接的管理和SPDU的结构等问题.它为会话层协议在大中型计算机上的实现,探索了一条道路,同时也为其他高层协议的实现积累了经验.

ISO/OSI Session Layer is an important part in the OSI 7-layer model. We describe the implementation of the session layer protocol with IBM 4341 under the VM/CMS operating system using PASCAL language. The understanding of the standards and the software implementing process are presented, with the emphasis on the following points such as the session protocol machine SPM, the service-access-point, the management of multi-connection and the structure of the SPDU.
