Failure Analysis of the Cold Extrusion Terrace Die to Improve its Survice Life

经分析后指出,W 6 Mo 5Cr 4 V 2钢凸模原热处理工艺淬火和回火不合理。根据其失效形式确定新的淬火、回火工艺。实际使用证明新的热处理工艺使模具寿命提高了十几倍。

After failure analysis of cold extrusion terrace dies, causes were found that the former quenching and tempering processes of the W 6 Mo 5 Cr 4 V 2 steel used were not suitable for the service working conditions of terrace dies. Improved quenching and tempering processes were established. The service life of the dies, in practice, were censequently increased more than the times.
