By using a lot of single rotor strength failure analyses as examples, it is shown that to make an rotor overspeed test or even a blasting test previously is the prerequisite for the safety and reliable operation of the rotor system of a machine unit. And those tests are also very meaningful for the rotary machine failure analysis.
