Based on the analysis of the serial and parallel mechanism of 6PM2 Six Axis Boring Milling Hybrid NC Machine, the constitution and resolving of the kinematics in hybrid machine tools are researched, the basic principle of motion control for CNC machine tools system software is analyzed in detail, and then an algorithm for motion control is presented for 6PM2. The algorithm of realistic axis is deduced. The practical NC system software based on this algorithm has been applied to the 6PM2 hybrid NC machine tools.
