In this paper, we discuss the main way of PLC programming, namely ' the text command language and advanced language. It has been used in a hot mill plant and will be used in a plate mill plant. We hope the analysis of several programming methods in this paper will help in daily equipment maintenance, particularly in the field of PLC software maintenance and development.
