On the Application for Intercultural Communication Theory to Improve English Learner's Reading Abilities

鉴于文化差异的因素对英语阅读有较大影响，提高英语学习者的阅读能力应当以跨文化交际的理论为指导、以提高跨文化交际能力为目的，加强英语学习者对中西方文化差异认识的直觉敏感性，帮助阅读者排除阅读障碍，增强阅读效果。

It is true that the cultural differences have a great influence on English reading. Therefore we should improve the English learner s reading ability by putting the theory of intercultural communication into practice to make the learners aware of the cultural differences between Chinese culture and Western culture. It may help them to improve their reading abilities by weakening the difficulties in understanding.
