An Image Retrieval Based on Object Region’s Color and Texture Features

该文提出一种基于目标区域的图像检索方法。该方法首先利用色度直方图完成对图像目标区域的提取 ;然后以目标区域的纹理特征作为全局图像的特征向量进行图像间相似度的检索。该方法综合利用了图像的颜色及纹理特征 ,并根据人的视觉习惯以图像目标区域的特征作为图像的检索特征。实验表明 。

A new image retrieval method based on object region is presented in this paper. The scheme first uses hue histogram to roughly extract object region of image, then uses the texture feature of object region as the whole image’s feature to retrieve the resemble images. The method uses both color and texture features of image and looks on the object region’s feature as the retrieval feature.As compared with the method using single feature or whole image’s feature, the experiments show that the way mentioned above can produce better performance in terms of both retrieval efficiency and retrieval effectiveness.
