蔡元培道德教育思想的成因及其内涵探析

Cai Yuan-Pei's approach to moral education,based on a comprehensive review of traditional Chinese moral education thoughts,is a combination of the Chinese and Western moral education thoughts.He attempted to reconstruct a system of Chinese moral education thoughts and portray the new characters of the Chinese nation.The 'middle of the road' in the traditional culture underlies the philosophical basis of his moral education thought.This paper analyzes the historical background for the development of his thoughts and,besides,his approaches to the Chinese and Western cultures.His interpretation of 'Sinolizing' the modern Western humanitarianism reflects his cultural approaches and the core of his moral education thoughts.
