籼型光温敏核不育系GD - 1S是利用W74 15S作为不育基因源与广东晚籼品种特青杂交选育而成 ,于 1999年 6月通过广东省科技厅组织的技术鉴定。GD - 1S株型集散适中 ,育性转换特性稳定 ,高抗稻瘟病 ,开花习性和品质性状较好 ,容易繁殖制种。而且该不育系穗大粒多 ,较易组配出大穗重穗型两系杂交稻新组合。利用该不育系育成了粤杂 12 2、粤杂 889和粤杂 174等两系杂交稻新组合 ,其中粤杂 12 2已于 2 0 0 1年

The PTGMS line GD-1S, derived from the cross between W7415S, the donor of PTGMS genes, and Teqing, a late season conventional variety of Guangdong Province, was technically identified and registered in Guangdong in June, 1999. It is characteristic of good plant type, stable fertility alteration, strong resistance to blast, favorable flowering habits, fine grain quality and easy for multiplication and hybrid seed production. In addition, GD-1S has large panicles with many spikelets, so it is a suitable parent for developing big panicle two line hybrids. Derived from it, the hybrids Yueza 122, Yueza 889 and Yueza 174 have been developed, and Yueza 122 was examined and approved by the Crops Variety Committee of Guangdong Province in February, 2001.
