民国时期甘南地区的森林破坏与保护

Forest destruction and conservation in South Gansu in the Republic of China (1912-1949)

甘南藏族自治州是甘肃重要林区 ,森林资源极为丰富 ,由于历史上的多次破坏 ,森林覆盖率逐年下降。民国时期是甘南森林破坏最为严重的一个时期 ,主要是由于木材交易业的兴起、人口增加、森林火灾等原因导致的。对此 ,民国初期甘南地区的各级政府采取了多项保护措施 ,收效颇大 。

Gannan Zang Nationality Autonomous Prefecture was once one of the most important forest areas in Gansu Province. However, four forest destructions took place in history, which led to a rapid decline of forest reserves in this area. In the Republic of China (1912-1949), owing to the rise of lumber trade industry, the growth of population and the forest fires, the forest in South Gansu was badly destroyed. In 1910s, the government at different levels in South Gansu took a series of protective measures and made greater achievements, which offered some experience for the conservation of forest in this area today.
