图书馆的构成要素是发展的,但从根本上可以概括为:图书、馆员、读者。这三个要素的内涵也是与时俱进的。现代图书要素是一切可以流通的科技文化信息载体的集合;现代馆员要素是馆员与智能化图书馆设施及读者关系的集合;现代读者要素是接受图书要素、馆员要素,并对二者产生反作用的主体。

Books today refers to the set of any circu-latire carriers of science, technology, culture and infonnation; Librarians today refers to the set of the workers and inlei-lectualized facilities in relation to the readers; Readers today refers to the subjes who receive books and the service of librarians on the one hand, and produce counter aions upon them on the other.
